If you’ve ever had a pet you’ve probably tried to train it to do a few tricks. This is the story of a lonely cat that we tried to train to do some real unusual things. You’ve probably seen it on TV before. The cat that actually knows how to use the bathroom. They have these little inserts that you put in the toilet bowl that collapse down into the bowl and you fill it with litter.
Before you do that you simply move the cat box into the bathroom and let them get used to that. Then you put the cat box up on a phone book, then two, then three and then finally you put it up on the toilet seat.
Then when they get used to that you take it away and let them use the bowl filled with litter. It takes about a month. Once they are used to using the litter in the bowl then take the stuff out of the middle and voila you’re on your way to a litter free house!
That one definitely took some dedication and persistence. The one I haven’t figured out yet is how to take your cat on a walk. I think I must be missing the secret to how to do it. It’d be great to walk off a few pounds after popping a few Acceletrim and walking the cat for some exercise. The cat could probably stand to use a few extra pounds too. It’d do both of us some good.
