Giorgio Armani Designs New Line of Eyewear Sunday, Aug 9 2009

Originally primed to be a doctor, the fate of Giorgio Armani could have turned out very different than what we know today. Had he gone on to become a doctor as he initally planned to do, it is quite possible that he could have saved the lives of many people. But then again, who would have made all of those red carpet fantasies come true?

So now after window dressing, Giorgio Armani is finally able to work as a designer in the 1960’s. He eventually went on to start his own menswear line and then, a year later, he started a womenswear label as well.

It wasn’t until he dressed Richard Gere for the movie American Gigolo in 1980, that Giorgio Armani finally got his big break. After that, he became a fashion staple, dressing celebrities for award shows and showing his designs on at red carpet events. Eventually, the Armani name became synonymous with Hollywood glamour.

Giorgio Armani Eyeglasses

Among the various collections that Giorgio Armani supervises, the latest line of Giorgio Armani eyeglasses is one of the more successful ones. A welcomed add-on to the already existing accessories lines, Armani now offers prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses and relatively reasonable price points.

Different Frames for Specs Thursday, Jun 25 2009

Comfort is an individual thing, E.g., some people wear contacts as they don’t delight in needing to vex about spectacles. But Then, the idea of putting something in their eyes makes some people squeamish and they cannot fathom wearing anything but eyeglasses.

More often than not, such frames are made out of plastic, this doesn’t mean that plastic will always be uncomfortable, in fact, some designer names are stamped on plastic frames.

Plastic eyeglasses

Plastic specs are economical, stylish and above all, they can be comfortable when made correctly. How comfortable? Well, this can largely depend on the make, model and style of the frames. For Instance, cat eye frame glasses are said to be easy to wear, whereas larger, boxier frames are heavier and harder to keep from sliding. Constantly having to push specs up can be awkward and far from comfortable. Plastic isn’t the only material that specs are made out of though. It is these other materials that often offer greater comfort than plastic can.

An example of another material is:

Believe it or not, metal frames tend to be lighter on the face than plastic glasses, making them far more comfortable. This is because the frames are thinner and have less bulk. They can also form into more pleasing and fashionable shapes making them a chosen choice among eye glass wearers.

No more pushing your spectacles back into place 101 times a day! Out of all the above eyeglasses, true Flexon memory metal is the highest, with frames starting in at around $80.00 and springing upwards towards the higher end hundreds.

Purchasing Spectacles is such a personal choice however. This is why alongside other considerations, like affordability, style, and what the specs say about you, comfort is an issue. Indeed, buying your spectacles is an important decision which, for a number of reasons, should never be entered into lightly.

Maintaining Composure amidst Thinning Hair Friday, Jun 12 2009

It’s not easy to talk about, but invisible lace wigs were not always my passion. Dancing was the only thing I cared about. This applied till the day when I started to lose my hair during chemotherapy. I resolved that I couldn’t allow for the chance of living as a bald Mr. Clean by sheer dumb luck.

I imagined that I was all alone, lacking a real head of hair. I believed that it would be more than difficult to regain fabulous style. Boy, I was incorrect. Before I got my authentic wig, I found a wide array of silly fake hair pieces that I couldn’t stand. My boyfriend Malcolm told me about some dignified wig stores where I could get human hair wigs I could wear proudly.

Well I got online and took a good look at their wigs. I happened upon a diverse world of, practical lace front wigs. Their natural African American wigs fit me perfectly.

With the best wig, a girl in my situation should develop confidence working towards overcoming her alopecia. Never have I been so inspired to flaunt my fashionable hats. It was magical to sassily go about as I used to on the streets of Manhattan.

It’s likely I could be exaggerating things, however looks are important to my identity. Is there further to existence than a great head of hair? Girl, it couldn’t mean much if that were so. Wigs are stylish fashion pieces to so many women.

You couldn’t imagine what wigs have done for me. Not many can tell the reality of me and my thinning hair. But that’s where I’m at, I’m just prepared to fearlessly approach my career again. Fashionable Medical Wigs made so much better for me and everyone who depends on me.

Judgmental people could say that method superficial. They’re ignorant! I don’t care who you are, what creature comforts make existing on earth so possible? Personally, the secret is working hard and my new wigs.

Care for Your Wig,

Monica Sullivan

Questions to Ask a Personal Trainer Friday, Jun 12 2009

Hiring a personal trainer is one good way to benefit from working out in the shortest amount of time. A personal trainer will create a program that is made for your fitness level and goals. But hiring a personal trainer that is qualified, and that can motivate you in the way that you need, can be problematic. Here are five issues to cover with possible trainers, and yourself, so you can determine the perfect trainer for you.

Judge The Book By It’s Cover
Let’s face it, a personal trainer should be in shape. If they can’t motivate themselves, chances are, it’s doubtful they can motivate you. Your trainer dooesn’t have to be an olympiad, but, they should be in good physical shape and have scores of energy.

Certification
You don’t have to go to school to be a personal trainer, there are no licensing programs, but lots of certification options. Find out what type of training they have, and find out what type of training they did to become a trainer. Every trainer should definitely also have CPR and first aid training.

References
Talk to past and current customers to hear their experiences. Find out if they reached their goals, if the trainer was responsible, any issues they may have had, and specific problems with not reaching goals. Any references you get will likely only be positive, so ask the trainer what troubles they have had with clients, and how they handled them. Every business has problem clients, so they should be able to answer.

Training Philosophy
Do you want a soft spoken trainer? A drill sergeant? Or can you motivate yourself? It’s crucial to find a trainer that you can get along with on a personal level.

Pricing and Policies
Fees are always important, but also ask about cancelling appointments, what types of payments they accept, and illness or injury policies. The most expensive trainer isn’t necessarily the greatest, and the cheapest may be cheap for a reason, so consider the fees beside the other answers you’ve acquired.

Use What You Have To Get What You Want Saturday, Jun 14 2008

Everybody is born onto this earth with nothing except their physical body, as we grow older we acquire things. Material things such as clothes, houses, cars, televisions etc and emotional things such as confidence, insecurities and character.

You can buy new material things whenever you want as long as you have the money or the credit but they’ll only make you feel better for a short while. Confidence and character however you can’t buy.

All the flash cars, nice houses and even plastic surgery won’t increase your sense of self worth and strength of character. To do this you need to look within.

You may have heard of miraculous transformations in character after a person has had plastic surgery but it’s not the surgery itself that causes the change, it’s what that change means to the person who’s had it.

If it means you’re more beautiful than you’ve ever been then it’ll show through in your personality.

If it means you’ve changed on the outside but don’t feel any different on the inside then this too will show through in your personality.

Instead of looking at all of the things that you don’t have and lolling about feeling sorry for yourself, why not use what you already have to get what you desire.

If the weather outside is cold and wet what do you do? You put on the right clothes for the weather and go out anyway. You may even decide to have some fun and go jumping in some puddles. You can’t change the weather so you adapt yourself to the circumstance.

If you’re attracted to someone and want to ask them out but you don’t think they’ll say yes because you feel unattractive what do you do? You put on the right clothes and go jumping in puddles. Move your focus to what you’ve got, to your best bits and feel better about yourself.

Accentuate all the positive aspects of yourself and play down the negative. Go to the hairdressers and get a new haircut, wear some new clothes play up all of the great parts of your personality.

At the end of the day if you can’t change the circumstance, adapt the circumstance around you. If you been blessed with not so good looks, use something you can control to get that person of your dreams.

This rule applies to any part of your life, stop feeling sorry for yourself and beating yourself up, take a look inside, find out what’s great about you and the situation you’re in. Take some action to adapt the circumstance in your favor. There’s always a way and if you can’t find one, make one.

Hair Loss Factors Sunday, May 18 2008

What are the factors that contribute to hair loss? I know I have friends and relative that have suffered hair loss, but they are so different. As I checked into it farther, I found that there are a lot of factors that can contribute to hair loss. Some are natural and others are not caused by natural factors. It seems that there are as many hair loss factors as there are individuals. However, there are some main factors that contribute to a majority of cases.

Perhaps the most common factor in hair loss is genetics. Likely when you hear the words “hair loss,” you think of male pattern baldness. To be fair, it is probably the most common form of hair loss. Male pattern baldness is greatly affected by genetics. The genes can be carried on both the mother’s side of the family and the father’s. Some men will even start to lose their hair by their late teens or early 20’s. Genetics is one of the most powerful factors when it comes to hair loss, but make no mistake, there are plenty of other factors that can contribute.

Another factor that can cause hair loss, though to a lesser extent, is high levels of stress. If a person, male or females, is experiencing high levels of continual stress, they will sometimes begin to lose their hair. A classic historical example is that of Roger Maris as he pursued Babe Ruth’s single season home run record. As the pressure mounted and he approached the record, Maris began to lose the hair on his head in chunks. The only reason for this hair loss was the stress he was experiencing. Stress is a powerful force, but some don’t realize it is powerful enough to cause people to lose their hair.

A third factor in hair loss, and one that is, sadly, becoming more common is cancer treatment. Sometimes cancers are treated via chemotherapy. That means radiation is used to kill the infected cells. A common side effect of this treatment is hair loss. The radiation cannot magically attack only the cancer cells, so the body does end up reacting to the radiation all over. Often this includes a mal function of the hair follicles causing the hair loss. Fortunately for those who are lucky enough to recover, the hair generally grows back when the therapy has concluded.

In experiencing day to day life, you likely see people suffering from hair loss. Those people also likely vary in race, age, sex, and lifestyle, so what are the factors of their hair loss. The truth is that the factors causing hair loss are as varied as the people losing their hair. There are however, certain common factors that are found across the board: genetics, stress, and chemotherapy are just three of the more common of those reasons. In the end, those who suffer from hair loss must conclude the cause of their problem and decide on the best treatment for their particular situation.

Adult Acne Treatment - To Treat a Condition That No-one Talks About Sunday, May 4 2008

Acne is the most common skin complaint in the world. And it is not restricted to teenagers. Adult acne is a common but rarely discussed complaint that is thought to affect around 25% of adult men and up to 50% of adult women at some time in their adult lives. And adult acne treatment is often sought although the cause, namely the existence of the acne, is rarely talked about. Adult acne treatment is very common.

As with other types of acne including teenage acne, the exact causes of adult acne remain unknown, but are thought to relate to changes or imbalances in our body’s hormones. It is suspected that these hormonal changes at various times in our lives lead to increases in the amount of oil in our skin which in turn leads to clogged pores or hair follicles in the skin. This results in waste matter building up under the surface of the skin which becomes infected by bacteria and produced the well known spots suffered by adult acne sufferers or acne sufferers in general causing the need for the search for an effective adult acne treatment.

There are a number of times in our lives when our hormones are more likely to get out of balance and these correspond with times of higher likelihood of experiencing acne. The obvious and most well known one is in our teenage years. However it is perfectly possible to suffer adult acne well into the later and even middle aged years necessitating adult acne treatment.

It is thought that adult acne in women is more common because of the reproduction cycles a woman goes through such as menstruation, pregnancy, child birth and menopause. And in some cases hormonal products such as the pill can be used by doctors as a very effective adult acne treatment to produce some hormonal changes which can have positive results on the womans adult acne. In fact this can be the best treatment for adult acne of this nature.

Normally though, adult acne does not result in a total face breakout as teenage acne can do, so can be more easily controlled by some form of masking such as makeup which negates the need for adult acne treatments. There may be spots, but not so likely to be thousands of them.

The only real reason for an adult acne treatment, or any acne treatment at any age, is cosmetic. And so where a cosmetic effect can be achieved by other means the need for a treatment is removed.

There are thought to be external factors which also contribute to adult acne, amongst them are stress, cosmetics and diet. Unfortunately none of these is sufficiently understood either so it is hard to get some hard and fast rules about what not to do and what to do.

One thing that is known though, acne is not caused by eating too much chocolate as was sometimes said to be the case. Cheese is ruled out too.

The remedies for adult acne are the same for other acne. First see your doctor to check it’s normal acne and not something more serious. Next try out some of the very good adult acne treatments on the market which may control your adult acne. These adult acne treatments are, in fact, the same treatments used for our teenagers. Not every product will work for everyone so find the one which works for you and then stick to it.

Keep using it until you body decides it’s time to stop the acne.

A few other suggestions which may work, or may do nothing. Wash your face gently and regularly, but don’t scrub. Keep your diet healthy and follow normal good dietary practices. Keep your hair well washed, especially if it’s oily, and keep it off your face. And avoid makeup or too much makeup.

And try and avoid squeezing them. It’s not established whether squeezing is damaging or not, but avoid it if you can.

So, if you have adult acne and are wondering about what you do about finding a good adult acne treatment, you’re in good company.
